Multitasking is something that we cannot skip. Though we may perform better in any tasks while focusing on one at a time, multitasking can speed up things. Thus, its importance is justified, and many are looking for ways to multitask items, especially when some of them are automatic.

With your PC, You may be listening to music in one window, sketching in paint in another, and transferring files to external devices in another window. You may want to keep an eye on the progress of all, and navigating between them frequently isn’t feasible. Thus, Microsoft has set this option in Windows 10 to help users multitask their works for better productivity.

All you need to do is follow the instructions below to activate the Snap assist in your Windows 10, and have a better way to watch four windows at a time. Here’s how;

Splitting Screen in Windows 10 Using Snap Assist

  1. Open Settings from your Start Menu

  3. This would open the Snap options section, which should be enabled (if disabled), and check what all it can do.

Enabling the Snap will let windows adjust accordingly to the available spaces on the screen. All you need to do is dragging the windows to any of the emptied corners and leave.

How to Split Screen in Windows 10?

  1. Enabling the Snap, open the windows (apps) you wanted to split for multitasking.
  2. You can choose a maximum of four since Snap lets you split the whole screen into four different windows.
  3. Now open either of those windows and drag it to any of the corners and leave. This will set the window automatically to half. Now choosing the other window as same will set in the second half. Choosing four windows will split the screen into four equal windows.

  1. Windows Key + Left Arrow: Move the app window to the left half of the screen.

  2. Windows Key + Left Arrow + Up Arrow: Move the app window to the top left of the screen.
  3. Windows Key + Down Arrow: Minimize the window.
  4. Windows Key + Down Arrow: Maximize the window.
  5. Windows Key + Left Arrow + Down Arrow: Move the app window to the bottom left of the screen.
  6. Windows Key + Right Arrow + Up Arrow: Move the app window to the top right of the screen.
  7. Windows Key + Right Arrow + Down Arrow: Move the app window to the bottom right of the screen.
