Microsoft has made Windows 10 so resourceful that, you’ll be having tools of all kinds to make your time productive on the system. One such highly helpful tool is the Snipping Tool, which is used for capturing the screenshots of a page. If not this, keyboard users try CTRL + PRTSC to capture the screen.

But, both the cases record only the static one, which fits on the screen. Thus, capturing a whole rolling page is impossible with these functions. But if you’re having the need, here’s a third-party tool to help you out – PicPick. Here’s how to use it;

How to Capture Rolling Window Screenshot in Windows 10?

  1. Go to PicPick’s official site to download the software. Upon doing so, open the downloaded file and install it. This is pretty simple, and self-explanatory.
  2. Upon successful installation, open the tool, which will look more like the MS Paint home screen. Go to File and check Options in the left menu bar.
  3. You’ll be offered a lot of utilities like Screen Capture, Color Picker, Color Palette, Magnifier, Crosshair, Protractor, and Whiteboard. Since we’re into capturing screen, pick a Screen Capture option.
  4. If you’re not altering anything, the keyboard shortcut for activating the rolling window screenshot should be CTRL + ALT + PRTSC.
  5. So, keep your desired page in the background and press the CTRL + ALT + PRTSC shortcut to activate the capturing. You’ll see a red-bordered window opening with an Auto-Scroll button on the top left. Place it accordingly to capture the desired length. If you place it in the top left corner, you’ll be capturing the whole page, and if lower, it would screenshot the page from there onwards.

Clicking the Auto-Scroll will start capturing the whole window, regardless of its length. It will start rolling down to capture the entire screen, and popup the output in the PicPick window. The time taken for capturing the rolling window will depend upon the length of the page. You can edit as desired before saving the output. Watch the below for video better understanding.
